November Brooks appears in court with her attorney (WXIX).
An Ohio mother was released without having to post bail after being accused of inciting a fight between her daughter and another teenager.
November Brooks, 38, was released on her own recognizance after appearing in court on Monday. According to online court records, Brooks was charged with inciting violence, assault, menacing, and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that took place on a street in North College Hill, Ohio, on Friday. During Monday’s hearing, prosecutors said that Brooks threatened one of her teenage daughter’s classmates, local Fox affiliate WXIX reported.

According to court documents obtained by WXIX, Brooks saw the classmate walking to school on Friday morning. Brooks allegedly made threats toward the student, then got into her car with her 17-year-old daughter, drove up to the other student, and told her daughter to get out of the car and beat up her classmate.
Brooks’ defense attorney Kevin Bobo told the court that the alleged threats had “[s]omething to do with social media and a boy liking somebody’s picture.” Bobo denied that Brooks told her daughter to beat the other teenager.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Mike Keeling countered by saying that the entire incident was caught on camera, and video allegedly provided police enough evidence to file charges against Brooks. Brooks’ daughter has not been charged with any crimes in connection to the incident.
Bobo argued that Brooks was not a threat to the community, saying, “She has no prior history as far as anything criminal. She turned herself in last night.” He added, “Her mother wanted the court to know she teaches a Bible class to the youth at her church.”
All four charges against Brooks are misdemeanors. Her next court date is scheduled for Nov. 10.
