The American Red Cross will launch the Military 2 Veteran Network on Nov. 1, 2026, bringing service members and Veterans together through an online community offering peer support, meaningful connections and opportunities to improve their well-being.
Military service creates bonds that last a lifetime. Transitioning to civilian life, navigating personal challenges or finding others who understand the military experience can feel isolating. The Military 2 Veteran Network provides a welcoming space where service members and Veterans can connect, share experiences and support one another, regardless of their era of service or location.
Building connections that matter
Rooted in the belief that no service member or Veteran should feel alone, the Military 2 Veteran Network aims to reduce isolation and strengthen connection, hope and well-being.
Through a secure online community, members can build relationships with others who understand the experiences, challenges and strengths associated with military life.
The network offers several ways to participate:
- Peer support groups: Join regularly scheduled virtual gatherings led by trained facilitators to share experiences, listen and encourage one another.
- Whole health and wellness: Explore self-care practices and educational workshops, including “Taking Charge of My Life and My Health,” designed to support physical, emotional and social well-being.
- Education and resources: Access information, training opportunities and the Red Cross Hero Care Resource Directory to find community resources.
- Volunteer opportunities: Continue serving by supporting fellow service members and Veterans or exploring other Red Cross volunteer roles.
These opportunities help members strengthen relationships, discover resources and find renewed purpose through connection and shared experiences.
Supporting the whole person
The Military 2 Veteran Network embraces Red Cross’s whole health approach, recognizing that well-being extends beyond physical health to include emotional health, social connections and personal fulfillment.
Members can participate in activities that encourage self-reflection, resilience and goal setting, including developing a personal MAP—mission, aspiration and purpose.
Whether someone is preparing to leave military service, has recently transitioned to civilian life or has been a Veteran for decades, the network offers opportunities to connect and grow.
