FDA Updates Outbreak Chart

For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1390) linked to iceberg lettuce, FDA has initiated traceback and sampling. On July 16, 2026, FDA issued an outbreak advisory with consumer advice about shredded iceberg lettuce from Mexico sold at Taco Bell restaurant locations in IN, KY, MI, OH, and WV. For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1385) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 7 to 8 cases.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg (ref #1387) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 51 to 69 cases.
For the outbreak of E. coli O145:H28 (ref #1389) linked to frozen blueberries, FDA has initiated sampling.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1378) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 80 to 91 cases.
For the outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 (ref #1369) linked to raw cheddar cheese, the Executive Incident Summary Abstract can now be accessed by clicking the reference number. This outbreak investigation was moved to the Closed 2026 Table.
