Another day, another firm deciding that its associates deserve a bigger paycheck. Milbank’s raises, which were unveiled in June, continue to slowly but surely make their way through Biglaw, and the latest firm to match is giving its lawyers something to celebrate as bonus season approaches. Because nothing puts a little more pep into an associate’s step quite like more money.
The firm spreading the wealth today is Sheppard Mullin, where U.S. associates recently received word earlier this week that salary increases are on the way, effective January 1, 2027. Lucantonio Salvi, the firm’s chair, shared in a memo announcing the raises that the salary move “reflects the importance of remaining competitive in attracting and retaining exceptional associate talent and recognizes the contributions our associates make….”
Here’s what the new salary scale looks like:

Congratulations to Sheppard associates on the upcoming raises. What a way to ring in the new year! (Hopefully these raises will make the firm’s new four-day office attendance policy, effective January 1, 2027, sting a little less.)
